What this service does, what it never claims, how information is corrected and removed, and what happens to anything you submit.
Market Demand explores estimated local demand for businesses across Ireland using official geography, population statistics and published business-source records. Demand figures are estimates derived from those sources — never a guarantee of revenue, profit or purchase intent. A missing signal means missing data, not a proven zero.
Business records originate from public sources (Overture, CRO links, Wikidata and others) listed with their licences on the Data sources page. Presence in a source means the record exists there — it does not prove stock, opening hours, ownership or quality of any business.
Anyone can flag wrong or outdated information with the “Report a change” action on a business result, and owners can submit a claim through “Claim this business”. Every submission is reviewed by a human administrator before any owner-confirmed status is granted — no automated request can manufacture verification. To request removal of a record or of your own submitted content, use the same reporting action or contact the site operator; requests are handled by a person, not an algorithm.
The business assistant proposes starting-plan steps and cites official sources with the date each was last reviewed. It never restates fees or legal thresholds — it links to the official source instead. Its output is general information, not legal, financial or tax advice.
The service stores no passwords or sessions — sign-in is handled by the hosting gateway. Wanted listings can be posted anonymously; contact details you enter are shown only according to the visibility choice you make. Authors and administrators can delete listings; community reports and moderation records are kept as evidence. Abuse protection (a Cloudflare Turnstile check) applies only when publishing a listing or claiming a business — ordinary searching and browsing never require it.
This page describes how the product actually behaves today. Formal terms of service, a privacy policy and statutory retention periods are being prepared with professional review and will be published here when approved.
One rule above all
Estimates are not guarantees. Demand scores, opportunity bands and confidence figures describe the strength and completeness of the underlying data — they never describe promised income, stock or availability. If this service ever shows you something that looks like a certainty, that is a bug: report it.
